In the UAE and Dubai in particular, working 12 to 14 hours at a stretch is common in some private sector companies, and a psychiatrist says he gets many cases of people complaining of depression and anxiety.
Some people love their jobs and enjoy working long hours, however, it's believed that this is not always the case in the emirates. They are working hard just to keep their jobs, adding that many people complain of peptic ulcers, migraines and high blood pressure.
Allowing yourself to be a workaholic is just like digging yourself a grave. Many die before they even get to retire.
